Here’s what’s going on in tech on Friday…

–ICYMI: If former Uber Chief Executive Travis Kalanick thought he would be able to leave the company and recede into the background, he was sorely mistaken. Benchmark, one of Uber’s big investors, is suing Kalanick for fraud.

–Speaking of suits…Apple gets sued by a group of 28 Chinese app developers who charge the company with antitrust violations regarding Apple’s App Store.

–The hacking matter involving HBO goes on, as the company has reportedly offered a bounty of $250,000 to IT professionals who can find future such hacks and bring them to the network’s attention.
–SoundCloud lives! The music platform company said it has secured new financing and has named former Vimeo CEO Kerry Trainor as its new chief executive.
Snap shares have fallen as much as 14 percent on negative reaction to the company’s late-Thursday results. Daily active user growth rose from a year ago, but failed to hit analysts’ expectations.
–Nvidia shares are down more than 6 percent following the chipmaker’s latest quarterly results. Investors appear concerned about Nvidia’s ability to grow its data-center business.
–Amazon and Japan’s SoftBank are ramping up their battle for one of the last, big, untapped markets for e-commerce: India.
Microsoft counters Consumer Reports take on the Surface laptops by saying its computers really don’t break after a couple of years. Consumer Reports pulled its recommendation of the Surface due to concerns about the laptops’ reliability.
–Are humans and computers closer to becoming one and the same? Scientists at the University of Washington have used a strand of DNA to hack into a computer for the first time.
